4 Traits of a Shero Leader

I have met some amazing women ministry wives/leaders in my lifetime and the ones that stand out to me are those that live a life of thankfulness.

As I have watched them I have found they have these common traits…

  1. Appreciate where they are at – it is a journey, there are really great times and other not so great but trusting God to use all of it for HIS glory.
  2. Affirm others in their roles – when we are content in life we can affirm others. No comparison, no jealousy because they are living out God’s plan for their lives.
  3. Navigate failure – “The truth is falling hurts. The dare is to keep being brave and feel your way back up. Rising strong after a fall is how we cultivate wholeheartedness in our lives; it’s the process that teaches us the most about who we are.” Brene Brown.  Thankful women may fail but they don’t stay down, they learn from it and move on.
  4. Acknowledge God for their success – Genesis 41:16 – “I cannot do it,” Joseph replied to Pharaoh, “but God will give Pharaoh the answer he desires.”

When Joseph was asked to explain Pharaoh’s dream he did not take credit for interpreting the dreams – it is God. He so trusted God with his life at that point that he didn’t even try to work out a deal to be released from prison – he had come to trust God in all circumstances.

A woman that lives a life of thankfulness gives God the Glory for the good in her life and leans into God when going through hard times knowing if she allows it – God will uses is all for His glory.

I Thess. 5:16-18 “Rejoice always, pray continually,  give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

As ministry wives/leaders we need to model a life of thankfulness, for our family, for our friends, for our church and for those that do not know Jesus. Let us be an example of a woman that lives a life of thankfulness.
