Featured Off-Script with Debbie Season 5

Un-off-end-able and The Christian Life

Debbie Cole Jan 21

Welcome to the Book Club Season Five of OSWD. As we walk out this journey of living in a pandemic – I want to encourage you to keep on growing, to keep on working on relationships even when it looks different, and more than anything lean into Jesus. He sees you. He loves you.

So I have chosen some books – with various topics that I trust will help and encourage YOU. I invited some friends to come in and discuss them with me. Unscripted – just sitting over coffee. Won’t you join us?

Our first book is: Un-off-end-able, by: Brant Hansen

This book was encouraging for me in the NOW… But what if Christians were the most Unoffendable people on the planet? I feel like everyone is walking around offended and proving their point to WHY they are right. Can we as Christian leaders walk in this way – Unoffendeable?

Show Host: Debbie Cole

Episode Verse

Favorite Quotes from the book

“Choosing to be un-off-end-able means actually for real TRUSTING God.”

“Gratitude and anger can’t co-exist. It’s one or the other. One drains life from you. The other fills your life with wonder. Choose wisely.”

“Forgiving means surrendering your claim to resentment and letting go of anger. Anger is extraordinarily easy. It is our default setting. Love is very difficult. Love is a miracle.”
